Following the 'long-form' of Wolcum Yole, I felt that it would be a good contrast to record some shorter pieces, not strictly related to each other, where improvisation was at the fore.

As with an earlier project '... and Far Away', each track suggests a different compositional/improvisational approach, inspired by folk instrumentation, medieval music, contemporary classical, jazz and rock, all of which I leave the listener to discover.

Most of the titles allude to places or legends from around my homeplace of Kent, England, sometimes referred to as the 'Garden of England', (but I wouldn't want to force that opinion).
